My latest projects

The St. Patty's day table runner I finnished last week. It was great for a beginner. I got a little instruction from my friend Amy...Thanks Amy!! The 4th of July runner is from a Moda Jelly roll. I just kind of threw it together by sewing the strips together. I am not sure what I will start next. I wanted to make a Valentines day wall hanging but couldn't find a pattern and was not brave enough to just wing it. I will keep looking and maybe be able to use it next year. I have been looking at a lot of new fall projects...just can't pick one. I will post my next project start to finnish.

Rothenburg Germany

I didnt do any quilting today. I did organize some of my scraps...which are few right now being I am a beginner. Nevertheless, I do have a few and I cleaned out a drawer to keep them organized.

So..I decided to put a few pictures of the area that is a favorite of mine to visit...Rothenburg. Enjoy.
These Pictures are mine and please do not copy.

Latest project

This is another rag quilt that I just love! I used old jeans for this and a flannel backing.

2nd project

This is a purse made out of Jelly Rolls. I finnished this about 2 weeks ago and just love it!!

My first quilting project

This is the rag quilt I created just before Christmas. I figured it was an easy project to get started with.

I am new to blogging and quilting...

Well, here I go. I am new to the blogging world, but I have been reading a lot of them over the last few months. I am also new to quilting. I have been sewing for many years so sewing is not that new to me. I have 5 children and want to be able to pass things down to them. We are a military family seperated by the military. My 2 oldest children are on their own. The oldes is in the Air Force and the second oldest is in college on a ROTC scholarship in the states.

I love to garden as well, so I may be posting about a few patio gardening experiments.

Here are the first 3 projects I have finnished since I started quilting just before Christmas. Like I said...I am new to blogging so I am not sure how to post correctly..so bare with me...Oh and the pictures are mine..please dont use or copy my pictures without my permission. I am trying to learn how the whole copyright things works as well.
